Curry Creek Cafe is Managed with the capable hands of David and Rofi Arbuckle. David was raised in Nokomis, and went to school here and raised his family a few miles from the Restaurant until moving to NY where he was recognized as an up and coming Chef who wasn't afraid to be creative and to push the envelope, by both Mimi Sheraton and Phyllis Richmond of the NY Times and the Washington Post.

He has been at the forefront of Culinary excellence and received many accolades for his creativity. The NY Times praised his use of edible flowers in Dishes in the late 70's before the trend became fashionable. The Washington Post and Time Magazine gave him Cu dos for utilizing Mesquite grilling, and importing fresh Seafood from Hawaii and Europe in the mid 80's. He was also awarded by the Washingtonian reader's poll as one of D.C.'s best Restaurants. He garnered similar praise in Sacramento California when he was chosen chef of the Year by the Northern California Chef's Association.
Rofi is relatively new to the Restaurant scene, but her charm has graced the Curry Creek Cafe from the beginning. She is from central Java in Indonesia, and her cooking style is authentic Indonesian. Her Curry is absolutely mouth watering and mild, with Coconut milk, lemon grass, and Candlenut. For those who might be expecting a hot Curry, this is a bit of a change up. Her Egg Rolls are not to be missed, and the Chicken Satay is special.

David and Rofi are commited to making your dining experience an unforgettable one. They hope that you will join them and share a dining adventure like no other.
